ICP on the 8H timeframe is currently trading around 2.217 after a sustained grind lower from the June high near 2.600, with price now compressing between the 2.090–2.115 horizontal support zone and a descending trendline from above that has capped every meaningful recovery attempt since mid-June and is now declining into the 2.000–2.020 area just beneath.
The chart shows a descending trendline originating from the early June high near 2.130 on the left side of the chart, connecting through the June 25 spike low near 2.060 and the July 5 low near 2.060, while continuing to slope downward across the entire structure into the 2.000–2.020 zone currently. Price has been in a persistent downtrend from the June high near 2.600, with each recovery attempt producing a lower high than the prior one and no sustained move back above 2.360–2.400 since mid-June. The 2.090–2.115 horizontal zone has been the recurring floor through July and early August, tested multiple times without a clean breakdown while the descending trendline from above continues to compress any recovery. Price is currently sitting directly on that horizontal support with the trendline just beneath, creating a very tight band between the two levels.
The gap between the 2.090–2.115 horizontal and the descending trendline near 2.000–2.020 has narrowed to the point where both levels are essentially converging, leaving no room for price to remain neutral and forcing a directional break in the near term.
