BTCUSD: Bitcoin Holds Near Three-Month Lows as Bears Target 71,8

Bitcoin remains under pressure after last week’s sharp decline and is now trading near 72,700, close to three-month lows. The short-term structure has turned bearish, with sellers still controlling momentum while price remains below the main recovery zone.

The key downside level is 71,875. A confirmed break below this support would strengthen the bearish scenario and open the way toward 68,750 and 65,625. As long as BTC stays below 76,600, rebounds still look corrective rather than trend-changing.

For bulls, the first real recovery signal would be a breakout above 76,600. If price reclaims that level, BTC could recover toward 82,000 and 87,500. Until then, the broader short-term bias remains negative.

Technical indicators support the bearish view. Bollinger Bands are turning lower, MACD is expanding in negative territory, and Stochastic is moving sideways near oversold levels, suggesting weak momentum and limited buyer strength.
