Bitcoin just broke above the descending price channel that's been running since the high above 67.600, closing firmly above the upper edge of the channel — a fairly clear early breakout signal after a long stretch of decline. The resistance zone at 66.400–66.800 above will be the next technical target if this rally gets confirmed.
My plan is to buy if price pulls back to retest the old upper channel edge around 65.500–65.650, stop loss below 65.100, first target at 66.000 and a further target at 66.400–66.800.
The biggest risk is if price falls back inside the channel and closes below 65.100 — in that case, this breakout will be considered unsuccessful, and I'll stay on the sidelines waiting for a new signal rather than forcing a buy.
