The bottom process here is shown with a cup and handle pattern, it is coupled with really high volume towards the end. The entire process can be considered the first wave of a bullish impulse. If this is the case, the second move when it starts would be the third wave. This wave tends to produce massive growth.

Normally, coming from a EWT perspective, the third wave can be the biggest during a bullish impulse, but this varies. Wave one is almost always the shortest but wave three and five tend to compete, it truly depends on the market.

The arrow on the chart gives a nice illustration but this is only one possible scenario. Not on this or any other chart is the arrow meant to depict the exact trajectory but only the main direction which is up.

On this Lido DAO chart, LDOUSDT Daily, we are considering a bullish impulse lasting several months.

The first wave starts as the bottom recovery process followed by a stop, a small retrace or pause. Then we get the third wave and this is when bullish momentum grows coupled with really high volume. The high volume would confirm the move being the third wave.

If we get a third wave confirmation, we also get the confirmation that more is forthcoming. After the third wave we get a bigger correction which would be the fourth wave. This is the one that can last several months, 1-3 months. Rather than a pause or retrace, a full blown correction. It can dive deep just as it can unravel with a downward or even upward bent. Variations will happen across different projects. Then we get the final and fifth wave which is the speculative wave.

On the final jump, we get very fast and crazy growth with new highs but volume doesn't rise as much compared to the third wave. When this one ends, we get an even stronger correction compared to wave four. While we expect an even stronger correction, this correction would not produce a new low compared to the start of the bullish impulse. Instead, once the bullish impulse and ensuing correction ends, we get additional growth. And that's how we get higher highs and higher lows long-term, a bull market.
