توضیحات
Bitcoin broke above $80,000 and is consolidating near $80,600. BTC gained about 23.6% last week—its strongest weekly performance since March 2023. Ethereum also joined the rally, approaching $2,500.
🚀 Three catalysts behind the rally
▫️ Institutional demand: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $1.918B last week—the strongest inflow since October 2025.
▫️ Short squeeze: More than $4B in crypto short positions were liquidated in roughly two days, forcing bears to buy back into a rising market.
▫️ Liquidity expectations: The U.S. Treasury plans to increase long-term bond buybacks from $2B to $4B per operation. Arthur Hayes believes the resulting liquidity boost could support the next stage of Bitcoin’s bull market.
🧩 The leverage paradox
BTC climbed roughly 22% from $63,500 to $77,700, while open interest measured in BTC fell 11%—from 353,500 to 312,600 BTC, its lowest level in a month.
Dollar-denominated OI still increased by about 8%, but only because Bitcoin’s price rose faster than contracts were closed. In coin terms, leverage declined while price advanced.
That matters. The short squeeze helped ignite the breakout, but leverage did not rebuild alongside price. BTC continued rising with fewer outstanding positions—making the structure cleaner than a typical leverage-driven rally.
Lower OI reduces the risk of cascading liquidations, but it does not eliminate it or prove that spot demand alone powered the move.
📊 Technical structure
BTC remains above the EMA 9 at $80,197 and well above the SMA 50 at $78,132. The main volume support sits near $79,000, while $81,000–81,300 is the immediate resistance zone.
A confirmed breakout above $81,300 with rising volume would strengthen the continuation scenario. Losing $80,000 could trigger a pullback toward $79,000, while a break below $78,130 would weaken the short-term bullish structure.
The breakout was accelerated by forced short covering—but leverage was being cleared, not aggressively rebuilt. Now spot demand must keep BTC above $80,000.
Bull-market continuation or one final shakeout? 👇
