After a strong rally in previous years, this ratio has experienced a sharp decline from its highs near 16–17 and has not yet fully recovered. It is currently sitting exactly on a major historical resistance line (orange).

Key Observations:

Current momentum appears bearish.
Two important support levels below: 6.74 and 5.67
If it breaks back above 9.5–10 with strength → Bullish signal for risk assets. Likely continuation of the uptrend in stocks and Bitcoin.
If it breaks below 9.02 and heads toward 6.74 → Strong Risk-Off warning in global markets. Capital would likely rotate heavily into Gold and safe-haven assets.



My Take:
The market is still in a risk-sensitive phase, but the final verdict hasn’t been delivered yet. This chart acts like a highly sensitive macro gauge — if it breaks, a major storm could be coming.
I personally consider this ratio one of the best macro indicators for understanding the balance between risk appetite and safety-seeking behavior.
