By analyzing the #XRP (Ripple) chart on the 1D timeframe, we can see a market that has spent months making lower lows and has just done something it had not done once during the entire decline. The structure has flipped, the liquidity that fed the downtrend has been taken, and what happens on the pullback is what turns this from a bounce into a trend.
1D Timeframe
The context is important. From December onward, XRP was in a clean bearish sequence — every attempt to recover ended in another BOS to the downside, each low taken out in turn. That is a market where sellers set the terms and never lost them.
While that was happening, a line of liquidity built up along the descending highs. Every failed rally left resting orders behind it, and those pools sat there untouched as price ground lower into the $0.98 – $1.10 region.
Price has now done two things at once. It swept that liquidity, and it printed a bullish CHoCH above $1.2675 — the first structural break to the upside in the entire move. Taking the liquidity that fed the downtrend and then breaking structure is a different signature from a relief bounce.
The move that did it was a single expansive daily candle, and that candle defines everything that matters from here. It runs from $1.0116 to $1.3776 , and its midpoint — the 50% Void — sits at roughly $1.1946 .
Inside that range is the region that was resistance throughout February to May and should now behave as support: the RBS zone at $1.2675 – $1.3314 .
Price is currently trading around $1.4759 , extended above both.
Above, three pools of buy-side liquidity rest untouched at $1.7033 , $1.9439 and $2.4172 .
Below, the Protected Low at $0.9860 is the level that holds the entire structure together.
The Bias
The direction is constructive. The question is only how deep the pullback goes before continuation, and there are two levels where it can happen.
Scenario A — the base case.
Price retraces into the RBS zone at $1.2675 – $1.3314 and reacts from it. That region capped every rally for four months, and the first return to it from above is where the flip gets confirmed. A reaction there without a decisive close beneath it keeps the structure clean and opens the path toward the resting liquidity above.
The reasoning is straightforward. The liquidity that sustained the downtrend has been collected, the CHoCH is in, and the expansion that produced it was impulsive rather than laboured. What the structure needs now is a retest that holds.
Scenario B — the deeper retrace.
If the RBS zone does not hold on the first touch, the next reference is the 50% Void at $1.1946 — the midpoint of the candle that created this shift. Deep retracements into the halfway point of an expansion leg are common and do not break anything on their own.
From a reaction at either level, the draw is the same: $1.7033 first, then $1.9439 , and $2.4172 as the extended objective. All three are untouched.
Invalidation. A decisive daily close beneath the Protected Low at $0.9860 ends the bullish case entirely. Below that level the CHoCH was a failed break and the downtrend never actually ended.
And the rule that governs all of it: a break is a candle close, not a wick. The RBS zone and the 50% Void are precisely where the market spikes through, catches positions on the wrong side, and reverses without having actually broken anything.
Fundamental Backdrop
The backdrop supports the structure here, which is not always the case.
XRP rallied more than 56% in a single week — its sharpest weekly move since the post-settlement rally of August 2025 — after spending most of the year trapped between $0.90 and $1.10. The catalysts were real rather than atmospheric. A White House crypto meeting on 19 August included Ripple's CEO alongside the SEC and CFTC chairs, with public pressure to pass the CLARITY Act, which would codify XRP as a digital commodity. Treasury expanded its long-term bond buybacks, yields dropped, and roughly $1.4 billion in crypto shorts were liquidated across the market.
On the adoption side, JPMorgan's blockchain division completed a live cross-border transaction on the XRP Ledger, and Ripple is moving RLUSD from a payment token into institutional lending collateral. XRP ETF trading volume crossed $500 million in August, the highest since January.
The honest counterweight: XRP suffered a 37% flash crash on 22 August as roughly $500 million in leveraged longs were liquidated, which is exactly what happens when a move like this gets crowded. Price also remains around 57% below the $3.65 cycle high. This is a market with genuine improvement underneath it and dangerously fast positioning on top of it — which is another reason the retest matters more than the breakout.
