LG is applying for patent protection for TVs with tradable NFTs

South Korean tech giant LG is seeking patent protection for a TV that will allow users to trade NFTs. The device will be able to establish a connection to the NFT marketplace server, receive and display preview images, and complete purchases via a user's cryptocurrency wallet connected to the TV. LG released the Art Lab marketplace plugged into the Hedera Network, of which it has been a nodal operator since 2020.
Previously, LG filed NFT-related trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office through LG ART LAB last September, covering computer software for distributing and trading NFTs, software sales agents for creating NFTs and managing NFT platforms, e-wallet payment services, and cryptographic trading software.
